Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) is the simplest form of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) which may improve the chances of pregnancy in couples with unexplained infertility and mild sperm abnormalities. The semen sample is washed to select moving (motile) sperm then the resulting sample is injected into the uterus using a catheter in a regular exam room. This simple procedure is brief, causes minimal to no discomfort and requires no activity restrictions afterwards.
